1. Research two different African nations. Define each government, explain how each government began in nation, how the government has affected the people of the nation (positively or negatively) and whether or not you think that this government is the most appropriate choice for the nation.
The country of Angola is governed under the constitution of 1975. Which was when Portugal gave them their independence. Angola now has a multiparty democracy. The president controls the executive branch. Which is elected for 5-year term. The president is chief of state and head of government. They also have a parliamentary system which the prime minister and council of minister are chosen by the president. They also have a national assembly, which holds 220 seats, and they are votes in for 4-year terms. Another government system they use is a judicial branch with a supreme court. As you can see Angola is controlled by many different government system. At first Angola was under the Marxist rule. Which was when Angola was under the colonial rule of Portugal. They wanted to end their colonial rule and become independent. Their multiparty democracy has affected the people in Angola positively because they have adapted to the way their government is formed and are allowed to vote. They also manage Angola very well under the different governments. I believe that it is the appropiate government because they are adapted to it and if t is changed it would become difficult and people may revolt against the change.
