What role do you think the imperialism of the 19th century and 20th century played in sparking the civil war in Sierra Leone?

I think that imperialism played a weak role during the civil war in Sierra Leone. Why? Because before all of this happened there were many countries fighting for Africa. They accomplished what they wanted and Africa was distributed between 14 countries. Some of those countries were Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany Italy and Holland. But the question is where they were when Africa needed them. They only wanted the raw material and after they got them they left and forgot about them.

  1. The caption above says that these countries or people have fought for Africa. I thought during the Berlin Conference the European states peacefully resolved on how to divide Africa? Can you please clarify???

  2. i think this is a really great resource i like how u classify the different country that were arguing over the berlin conference. But wait u didn't write how they divide africa so please specify next time but it was a good thing
